Looks like a wee hummingbird getting a bite to eat in a hostile environment! Brrr.

It finally warmed up here - in the 70s again today!

Stay as cool as you are and warm at the same time! :)

Wow what a beautiful sight to see a hummingbird and snow in the same photo.
Have a wonderful weekend, Sylvia.
Warm hugs :)

I can't imagine a little humming bird surviving the kind of cold we are having ... I sure hope he finds his way south where he will be safe. We have been below freezing, then above freezing, then it was raining and now it is freezing again ... which means ice. I don't do ice well ... Hope you are warm and safe, Sylvia ...

Wow, seems odd the see the hummer in the winter. And SNOW in the background. I hope the poor thing survives. Great shot!

Yes--the birds seem to do fine when the weather is frigid. However, they really stay at the feeders all day long... I had to fill ours twice each day this week... Bless their hearts...

Hugs,
Betsy

I haven't felt snow so I could only imagine but my mom in Chicago is complaining about the too cold weather too. Anyways, take extra care Sylvia and wishing you are here in our tropical paradise to enjoy the glorious sunny weather.

I was surprised to see a hummingbird against the snow, but this is a wonderful photo. I hope your Blogger/internet problems are soon cleared up.

Happy New Year! Let's here it for those intrepid birds. They outlasted the dinosaurs, and they will outlast us.

Wow, a hummingbird in the snow! Gosh, I hope you both can keep warm.

Laurie of I Love a Cloudy Day said she was having terrible problems with Blogger. This is sounding scary!

I hope you have a nice weekend anyway and that Blogspot fixes their glitches.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
