Our World!!

In my garden, after a rainfall, you can faintly, yes, hear the
      breaking of new blooms.
                                                          - Truman Capote
Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under
trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water,
or watching the clouds float across the sky is by no means
    a waste of time.
                                                                                     - J. Lubbuck
Join us and celebrate the beauty of our world -- regardless of the season!!  Yes, I know, I obviously prefer Spring!!!

Have a great week!

The flowers are beautiful! It's nice to be reminded that they still exist. The trees and bushes are bare and the ground is covered with snow here.

Have a great day Sylvia!

Oh what I would do for a blade of grass to lie on ... you got it right, Sylvia, it just isn't always possible to do it the way you would like to. My rest on a day like today is cuddled up in a nice warm fleece throw with a good book ... and that isn't a waste of time either :)Stay warm, Sylvia ...

I have never heard a “new bloom breaking”, as Truman Copote said … but I would love to!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
