Ah, But the Snow is Beautiful!!!

Snow and adolescence are the only problems that disappear if you ignore them long enough.
Earl Wilson
I am trying to do that!! However, after the past three days it is getting even harder to do!! It has only stopped snowing for a few hours this morning and then it was back to heavy snow!! Looks as though it may continue through the weekend.  Glad I stocked up on food before it started!!!  Hope you all have a great, snow-free weekend!! Enjoy!

Oh Sylvia, the last thing I need right now is a snow free weekend after109.3 F today and more of the same promised for next week.Glad you stocked up on food as did I. It is like living in hell here this summer.

Roses, snow - quite the range of photos this week! I love snow, we've had a foot of the stuff in the last week and it's a good thing because it's been so dry. I hope you're having a great weekend, and I'm glad to see you still posting.

At this point, I can only grudgingly admit it's pretty. Stay warm, Sylvia!

It sure is beautiful, but I'd rather not have to deal with it also. However, as Mr. Wilson implies, it will melt. Eventually. The sun will shine again. I think.

It's been raining heavily here today and it's quite cool for Florida. Yucky, in other words.

Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and warm and I will play golf! :)

Best to you. Are you watching the Olympics?

I know! My family in Seattle and Tacoma keep complaining about the snow there! Hope it lets up soon!

Our Oregon son sent pictures via e-mail...he said "Oh poor you, you went to Florida and missed all the fun." (Yeah, right!).... I am glad you are stocked up and I hope it goes away soon. CoZy up, stay warm.

Still warm-ish and stormy here, I envy you!

My Portland son is also away from home as the snow piles up in your neighborhood. I've been following the weather reports - stay warm and well-fed, Sylvia! Beautiful photo!

It looks beautiful indeed Sylvia to see. But I know how you must be feeling. Hope it lets up soon.

It is beautiful! It looks like we'll get only a few flurries here in Seattle as it gradually warms up. I don't wish snow on my city, but the novelty would be a pleasant change from this frozen dryness here. And it does go with all the winter sports I'm watching on TV.

I am planning on a snow-free weekend down here in Florida! Unless it can find a way to snow in 80 degree weather!

The snow in your photo is beautiful, but I am so ready for Spring!

I love snow. I'm glad you're safe and warm, with lots to eat.

Gosh shouldn't the snow be disappearing by now Sylvia? Your winter seems to be hanging around as long as our summer :)

This is so beautiful, Sylvia. This is why I love winter. Granted, I love spring more, but winter has its own beauty.

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
