Our World!!

Time to share our worlds and the beauty they all have!!
One of the particular beauties of the Northwest is the Tulip Festivals each Spring.  I've shared pics from them before, but I never tire of them and I hope you don't either!! Enjoy!!

How strange that Nature does not knock, and yet does not intrude! ~Emily Dickinson
Man’s heart away from nature becomes hard. ~Standing Bear
Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~Khalil Gibran
Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. ~Lao Tzu
Oh, yes!! A beautiful world it is indeed!!

Life is not fair. I mean, really, why should y'all up there in the PNW have all the tulips when the only ones I can find are pissy little faux ones in craft stores? Sheesh. These are so beautiful and as is obvious in that last picture, never-ending. How do you get anything done? I'd just sit there are look at tulips all day. :)

Wishing you the best week ever!

Beautiful flowers and so many different colors - wish there could be a few here but I think it takes your kind of climate!

Oh Sylvia these are so beautiful. Breathtaking. (Of course we didn't get back in time to see them.... I have to try to figure out a way to be here at the right time somehow, some year.) (Maybe win the lottery or a private plane, or a magic carpet ????)
Thanks for sharing them... just incredible.

I forgot to mention your new header. Very funny. I did not know you were engaged in political campaigning in India with a former Bollywood person. It must have been a kick to ride around standing up in a car with all those people waving and shouting! :)

Never ever get tired of the tulips Sylvia.. they are so clever the way they beautifully match colours.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
