Our World!

Welcome to Our World where we can share the beauty of each of our worlds and enjoy the beauty of them all!!  We have lots of different kinds of weather in the Fall here in the northwest, moody skies, brilliantly colored trees and landscapes!! You don't have  to go far to find some of the beauty of the season!!

Multnomah Falls – an incredibly beautiful place in any season!

St John’s Bridge near Portland . I'm not a good enough photographer to have taken these two, but I did want to include them for you today! Hope you enjoy!

And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything. ~William Shakespeare

If you truly love Nature, you will find beauty everywhere. ~Vincent Van Gogh

I very much like the photo of the red leaves and green bridge, Sylvia. And I LOVE the Van Gogh quote. I think it's very true.

Wow....tho the Autumn foliage and waterfall are picture post card perfect, I'm thinking that perspective of the bridge in/near Portland is phenomenal.

The Falls is enchanting. I like your photo of the bridge, which looks sort of mysterious.

That third one (especially) appealed very much to me - quiet and peaceful.

Have a nice week!

Four beautiful photos. I thought my favorite would be the waterfall but I think I like the one of the tree and the seats with water and distant mountains even better! Thanks for sharing.

That Bill Shakespeare is kind of flowery, don't you think? I like the photo you used to illustrate his words.

Nice pic of the moon behind the tree branches! And being a Portlander, I recognize those landmarks in your first two photos. :)

Gorgeous shots--both the pictures and the quotes...I'd love to sit on one of those benches and just enjoy being that close to the water....

And I love Multnomah Falls... WOW---that's one I WANT to see sometime.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
