What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.

...They raised a smile - but sadness too because they are so true! Here's to an unplugged week... (says she from her favourite tablet toy...&*>) YAM xx
Perhaps I should reblog this one - or like it on Facebook? :-)
Have a nice week?
Oh boy … is this not the truth? I see variations on that last picture everywhere. I guess bloggers are no different, except that we often are at home sitting in chairs looking into computer screens. We are, indeed, chained to technology while, at the same time, free to access the whole world.
you're so right. the suntan one was too funny!
I smiled - but oh, how sad for the coming generations!
That last one is so sadly true!
You're so funny Sylvia! Thanks for the laughs. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Funny but these make me rather melancholic...it seems we are missing out on some of life's joys what all these gadgets taking up our attention.
Humorous but so true ~ Fun post!

Cute post, Sylvia! The images of the children with their games, phones and ipads look very familiar.. Have a happy week!
These are all great. I hope you and your family have a happy Thanksgiving.
These photos say a LOT aout our world today. :)
Thanks! Those all gave me a good laugh! BUT - I love my technology!!
Unfortunately very true!
thanks for the chuckle.
Worth a Thousand Words
Stuff like that drives me crazy and I am just as guilty as anyone else!
That second one, with the tan lines, is hysterical!
We had to devote a whole cupboard in our little camper van to electronics, chargers, cords eye. Camping used to be simpler, as did life I guess. But isn't it fun to have all of it?
I do feel bad for little kids who don't know how to play!
Oh Sylvia, how very funny. Yes texing seems to be an addiction all over the world. Thank you for your post that makes me smile.

I do like the sunburn carton!

I am literally rolling with the one of the tan lines.
And the kids outdoors...yep. Everywhere you look these days, the cellphone is attached...like a 6th/7th digit on our hands.
So funny and sad at the same time Sylvia.. I'm so happy we didn't have 'technology' when I was that age :)
