Our World!

Happy Monday and welcome to Our World!!
Time to share the beauty and all the other facets of our world as we see them!!  Autumn has definitely put a foot in the door of my world and after a LONG, unusually hot summer, I’m delighted to greet Sir/Lady Autumn! I’m sharing two seasons of a favorite tree of mine located at the harbor in Seattle. Spring and Fall and what a difference!! And I’ve also included a shot of the harbor that is gorgeous regardless of the season!! Hope you enjoy and that you have a wonderful new week!!!  And if you would enjoy some great photos check out this site!!!

Lovely tree when it's in full leaf! And a pretty scene down at the harbour.

Great pictures... Amazing the difference once the leaves are gone!!!! Autumn is a favorite time of ours --but not a MELLOW time.. We are extremely busy getting up leaves, getting things ready for winter, etc. etc. etc..... Winter is more MELLOW for us......

Hugs,
Betsy

Hi Sylvia, I love this post. Well, I may be a little biased since your excellent photos were taken here in my home city. :-) Of course, you know I love Portland too. :-) You must have been fairly close to my neighborhood when you took the tree photos. Is that in Discovery Park? In any event, it is neat to see Spring and Fall comparisons. And your sunset photos are always special. Thank you for your very kind comments on my blog post about the Alaska cruise. I do think you would love a cruise to Alaska. If I can answer any questions for you I will be happy to do so! email me at jrcoast at gmail dot com. Very best regards to you and have a fine week ahead.

Hello Sylvia, the tree is beautiful both bare and with the pretty green leaves. And the harbor scene and sky are lovely. Beautiful images!

What a difference between the two views of the tree - beautiful! And of course the harbor view at sunset is perfect. Thanks for sharing.

The tree is beautiful. Our September has been really hot so far, far hotter than what we expect our Indian summer to be. I cannot wait for fall.

Hello Sylvia. While you have your transition to autumn, we have our transition to the "ber months", the only part of the year when we get a little colder temperatures courtesy of the winds from China and Russia. By colder i mean above 25C, hahaha!

Hello Sylvia!

I agree that autumn is a mellow time! It goes by too quickly in my area of the US.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
