Our World!!

Welcome to Our World!! It is Autumn, it is colorful, it is gorgeous!! I do hope you enjoy the pics for the day and that you all enjoy a beautiful, colorful new week!!!
To me a lush carpet of pine needles or spongy grass is more welcome than the most luxurious Persian rug.
Helen Keller

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.
Kahlil Gibran

The poetry of the earth is never dead.

The autumnal colors up your way are incredibly beautiful. But I also like that first photo of the boats sailboats on the grey/blue water!

Oh I do like to walk barefoot in the grass Sylvia but I also have a weakness for Persian carpets :) Lovely images as always.

These quotes really resonate with me, especially in the beautiful spring weather we're having - I love to feel the grass under my feet! Lovely pictures too! I hope you've had a great start to the week :)

The sails look like fins from a distance in what turned out to be a great first shot in this autumn series. :)

We are so lucky here in Oregon to get such a wonderful Fall. Your pictures are so lovely. (I know we need rain, but today was such a lovely sunny day -- just a bit crisp, and perfect). I hope you had a good one too Sylvia!

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
