Wishing all of you a beautiful, fun week!! And Thanksgiving week it is!!  And Santa Claus is already making his list and checking it twice!!

“Autumn...the year's last, loveliest smile."
William Cullen Bryant

“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.”
Lauren DeStefano, Wither

“I would rather sit on a pumpkin, and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion.”
Henry David Thoreau

That is a wonderful beach you've captured...It looks a little chilly, though, and I was surprised at all the people out and about!

Best wishes for a wonderful week!

We have had some spectacular sunsets, too, lately. I had to smile at the Thoreau quote … sitting on a pumpkin would look pretty funny. :)

A series of very beautiful photos but I think the first one is the most beautiful with the very blue sky and water. Thanks for sharing!

What a pretty beach, but it doesn't look too warm. Have a great week and a wonderful Thanksgiving, Sylvia.

I think it would be a nice project to follow that tree for a year!

Your two captures of the water and the beach are so nice. All I can think is COLD WATER. The sky with its swooping clouds in the second one add to much to the overall capture.

`The spirits of the air live on the smells
Of fruit; and Joy, with pinions light, roves round
The gardens, or sits singing in the trees.'
Thus sang the jolly Autumn as he sat;
Then rose, girded himself, and o'er the bleak
Hills fled from our sight; but left his golden load.
William Blake

Thank you, Sylvia,
Merisi

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
