I have a very dear friend who looks for and saves wonderful pictures and words to share
with me and I do frequently share them with you. And today I’m sharing another collection
of those. They are ones that I’m sure will move all of you as much as they did
me. I do hope you enjoy them as well – I know that they did move me to smiles
and tears. These are of our soldiers and their wonderful four-legged friends!!

OH SO SAD... Makes me cry and cry....
When I was teaching American history, I brought in a dog handler (with dog) from Vietnam to tell the kids the story of the dogs in Vietnam. His dog was a descendant of that dog. 2900 dogs served in Vietnam and many were killed. They were indispensable in many situations and great companions.
Oh, yes, those last photos brought tears to my eyes.
Oh, so very special, Sylvia. The last images teared me up. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend. Jo

Nothing beats that bond. Nothing. Thanks for sharing these with us Sylvia. YAM xx
Service dogs are remarkable. I saw a news story a few days ago about a police dog that attacked the bad guy and took the bullet intended for its master. The handler and his family were torn up about it. Very poignant.
That last one just broke my heart.
bravery. devotion.
The last one is heart wrenching
Aww! Quite a mixture of emotions.
The loyalty and trust that the dogs have is amazing. And what they can do is also quite amazing. What devotion. Thank you for a meaningful post. Have a great weekend, Sylvia. Mickie :)
