I've
learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery
depends on our dispositions and not on our circumstances.
-- Martha Washington
What a beautiful photo, Sylvia. And the quote from Mrs. Washington: I thought she made stuff out of cloth and didn't know she sat around thinking profound thoughts! :)
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.

I guess it all depends on our own attitude.
Martha was a wise woman. Lovely water lily!
This is true in my experience! Beautifully illustrated as well. Thanks for the beauty and the reminder.
Very true Sylvia. That picture is lovely!
Love those lilies - a classically calm image.

Most people are too busy to even notice the beauty around them Sylvia, thank goodness you are not one of them :)
