It has been a pretty miserable world here in Seattle -- weather wise at least! And certainly too much of a mess for any good shots even if I had the courage to get out on the streets! Sam got walked and that was it! So, I looked back over the past weeks to find some of the many beautiful things in my part of Our World!

Our weather really hasn't been too bad, not much sun, but not particularly cold -- not as inviting as our very brief summer, but not bad. So, I decided to focus today on the real beauty of autumn here in the northwest -- the wonderful colors and, of course, the delicious veggies at my favorite market! Our temperatures have dropped over ten degrees in one day!! But we're still enjoying some sun in between rain storms and lots of wind. Ah, but there are still lots of beautiful flowers in the roof gardens and I'm going to enjoy all that wonderful color for as long as I can -- and I'm sharing some of that wonderful color with you today, along with the things that are always here regardless of the season -- beautiful sunsets and skies and a lovely harbor.

Rainy, windy weather has ushered Fall into Seattle this week, consequently, I haven't been able to get out with the camera. Can't believe it's the beginning of another new week!! The older I get, the quicker the time flies -- not complaining mind you, flying time is better than the alternative of  "no more time"!  And after the anniversary of 9/ll yesterday, it was easy to find the wonders of my part of Our World!!  We have such beautiful beaches and mountains, wonderful parks where you can walk, run or just absorb the beauty! And we have some of the most interesting malls! This one doesn't look like a mall at all! I mean, how many of you come face to face with a large, cocky rooster like this guy on any of your shopping trips??? And, of course, there's Mt. Rainier, mysteriously wrapped in clouds!

This week -- as I'm still nursing my sun poisoned shoulders -- I decided to take an overview of my wonderful world to share with you today! There's  beautiful Seattle and the Space Needle, breathtaking Puget Sound, the incredible sunsets, four of my wonderful five children -  counting my wonderful daughter-in-law to soon be! I have a hard time getting photos of my oldest daughter in Michigan -- unlike her sister, brothers and mother, none of whom object to having their picture taken, she's usually the one behind the camera -- rarely in front of! But one of these days I'll catch her!! And lastly, there are the fun, delightful things that wonderful friends bring into my life to make me smile and this sign did just that! Have no idea how he did it, but I love it!!  And now some laughter to go with the beauty!!

Needless to say, I'm very pleased and excited about continuing with our new version -- Our World! Thank you, Gattina, for your help -- not only with the header, but helping me get the web address on my blog -- no idea what the problem was other than just me and old age!! 
I do so look forward to visiting your blogs and continuing to view your worlds as well!! I looked all around my world .... from the final touches i.e. new curtains in the living room of my new apartment, to the beach, to the flowers and the incredible view from my desk!! And what a wonderful world it is! Hope those of you on the East coast managed to escape the wrath of Irene and that all of you are ready for a great, new week!
