Evening Wisdom, Summer, Beauty, Humor

Life is easier than you'd think; all that is necessary is to accept the impossible, do without the indispensable, and bear the intolerable.
~Kathleen Norris

Humor is merely tragedy standing on its head with its pants torn.
~Irvin S. Cobb

We should give meaning to life, not wait for life to give us meaning.
~Stacy

If I had no sense of humor, I would long ago have committed suicide.

All are beautiful, but that rose took my breath away! So gorgeous.

I am totally in love with the rose photo. Spectacular! And thanks for visiting. I am late in returning a visit sometimes, but I do appreciate it when you do.

I thought humour had it´s pants down and it was mooning...oops, wrong kind of humour...let´s keep them just torn.

Lovely shots, and that Ghandi quote, I'd never heard that one. Boy, ain't that the truth?

Love the second shot! The soft water and hard rocks contrast nicely.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
