I have slept outdoors quite a lot in my life and it is always interesting to hear that odd but fantastic bird sing during the dark of night.

I can see that ultimate happiness beyond polarity occurs above the realm of weather.

The Camus quote reminds me of what I used to tell my class every year. "Life is a banquet of consequences."

Life is the sum of all your choices? A woman here in town won $ 17 million on a slot machine, then a few weeks later she was sitting at a red light, when a drunk driver ploughed into her and she became a paraplegic. Incredible good luck, followed by incredible bad luck - it's sometimes like that.
Lovely quotes and photos.

What David Russell said was very true: never know what way to take and what not to.

There has been too many bridges. Some of them were blown to pieces and some still remain but are a bit shaky. Some are quite okay. That first sky is most dramatic and I love it.

I like the Japanese proverb. Although I feel like adding (not in class! lol).

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
