Sky Watch Friday!

There are Autumn skies now and while we look back wistfully at the lovely Summer skies, there is so much beauty everywhere in the sky, regardless of the season. So join Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, Fishing Guy and Louise and the rest of us from all over the world, join us and share the beauty of your skies! Click here to sign up and share it all!

We've had our usual beautiful sunsets recently and I never tire of them because although the colors and the shape of the clouds may be similar, they are all unique and beautiful -- just as all people are unique and beautiful, each in their own way.
The first two are -- as usual, taken from our deck a couple of evenings ago.

The last three are a nostalgic look back at a lovely summer on the Sound where I found myself on numerous ferries as family and friends and I visited some of the beautiful and fun places in our part of the world.

That is Port Townsend in the background.

I love the sailing ships against the blue sky!

And this is one of the marvelous ferries.

Gorgeous clouds! And the boats are charming. That is quite a ferry! Bigger than those we have going from North Cape May to Lewis, DE.

I love those ferries. They are so practical. You are right, it is really marvellous. I have never seen one open ferry that was so humongous in size.

I remember being so excited to ride these ferries. The whole post is filled with wonderful pictures of a very special place.
Great pictures Sylvia.

Lovely! Bittersweet the change of seasons, but wouldn't want to live anywhere that has just one or two seasons.

Lovely shots, Sylvia. I can't remember many sunny skies when we lived in Washington state. Are they getting more frequent or are you just catching them all? ;)

Sylvia, the ferry is so GRAND!
We take a ferry sometimes when we visit family on Long Island. It's always amazing to me how cars just drive on board!

I could spend hours just watching sailboats float passed...
