Evening, Wisdom and Beauty
I had a lovers quarrel with the world.
Robert Frost
"Second (photo)" thoughts....
Sometimes,
brown and black
lie low,
a troubled surface,
a dig here,
a lump there.
White
appears to thrive,
mixing with
those in the pink
and cream of of Life
Its nobody's world;
the brown and black,
sucking
the rain water
for the roots,
cool down there;
the whites and pinks,
facing a mositure-ous new day
and the green,
opening
up to the world,
as if to say,
"We really can't live without each other,
can we ?"

I hold it to be the inalienable right of anybody to go to hell in his own way.
Robert Frost
I'm not confused. I'm just well mixed.
Robert Frost
Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.
Kahlil Gibran
If your heart is a volcano, how shall you expect flowers to bloom?
Kahlil Gibran
When we turn to one another for counsel we reduce the number of our enemies.
Kahlil Gibran
The only abnormality is the incapacity to love.

Those purple flowers are beautiful. They all are wonderful and I just love that last quote. So true. :) Have a great Tuesday.

It looks like you're having a fine beginning to spring up there, Sylvia. I have to look hard to find so many flowers in our still-rainy landscape. As always, the quotes you pick out soothe my soul. Thank you.
Sylvia, are all these things in bloom where you live right now? Beautiful! Lovely poem by Konitari also! How nice that he wrote it for you!
Thank you, Kathie, and yes, these things are in bloom now. As for Konitari, SHE is another wonderful friend that I have met through the blogging world and she's from India and loves to write. I've just been so delighted that my posts have inspired her to write something extra for them.
Sylvia
What wonderful quotes. It seems that Robert Frost is worth delving into. Thank-you for your lovely pictures.
Gorgeous flower and sky photos. Thanks for bringing spring to us with these beautiful blossoms.
The words, like always are perfectly chosen for the lovely photos.

Most wisdom is in simple words. Wonderful post Sylvia.
I loved the going to hell in their own way quote by Frost.
"I'm not confused, I'm just well-mixed." LOVE it! I had no idea Robert Frost was also funny!! Thanks for the lovely quotes and beautiful pics! Needed that!
"I had a lovers quarrel with the world" oh how perfect!
I liked that first quote, too. Beautiful photos and great quotes, too, Sylvia! Have a great day!

Gibran is poignant, but Frost is quirky!

Sylvia, your blog is one of the very best I have seen. I love your recorded music, your wonderful photos, and the way you write. I discovered your blog yesterday afternoon when I Googled over 65 no grandchildren.
I started a blog on January 1,
2010. I am compiling the diaries in which I wrote about my life in rural Iowa and in college in suburban Kansas City, Mo.
Although I like your sunset picture, this last picture is absolutely gorgeous. It gives me hope that blue skies and blossoms will return.
By the way, I really like the waterfall in your header.
Crisp, clear, completely wonderful.
