Shadow Shot Sunday!
Had any sun lately? Seen any of those fascinating shadows? Yes, it's time again to play with the those guys and see what kind of shadow shots you can discover! Shadow Shot is hosted by Tracy over at Hey Harriet, so click on the icon, sign up and show us what you found this week!
As for us here in Seattle -- well, sun???? What's that??? Fifteen minutes here, fifteen minutes there! I can't get upstairs and grab my camera before the next layer of clouds roll in! So, you may see a little redundancy here today! Ah, well! I'll start with Sir Sam Schnauzer keeping watch over the back gate!
And leafy shadows on our freshly mowed lawn and newly mulched beds!
Across the alley -- again! You can see that the rosebud from last week has bloomed, but the wind has been so strong I've had trouble catching a shot that wasn't blurred, but shadows of them and some other plants on the fence were pretty cool.
And then when the gloom and rain and more wind showed up, I wistfully went through some colored shadows from those lovely sunny days!! I don't know who keeps scaring the sun off for ten days at a time, but I wish he/she/it would find another past time!!

Oh that fresh garden bed is screaming with potential. I do hope you are going to grow more than shadows there!
You found enough sun and shadow for some wonderful shots, Sylvia.
The ears of Sam allow for a cute shadow. The beds are awaiting nice flowering plants, the blank look just giving us the imagination of the floral possibilities. The fence is in the right spot to capture the beauty of sun and shadow. Have a great week!
Well, with your small 15 minute window, you found some very sunny shots Sylvia!!
Love that colored glass with the lace - it's very pretty!!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Well, you got some very good shots when the sun DID shine:-)I'm most impressed by your lawn and flower beds - very smart!
Oh my like that flower hanging freely. And the lace shadow is amazing too. Happy weekend!

Sun or clouds, you always find us some shadows.
Each time the weather warms I think "this is it, winter is over", not. Now our sky is clear again. I should be careful what I wish for, 90 degrees in the forcast by the end on next week!

15 minutes of fame or 15 minutes of sunshine- kind of the same thing. Give my regards to Sam. My daughter had a little miniature Schnauzer. It was a sweetie.
Are you sure you don't live here. We are experiencing the same weather, only difference is your sshots look warm and inviting.
Always enjoy your shadow shots Sylvia.
Wonderful shadow shots from you again!
Have a lovely weekend Sylvia!

Your shadows are always lovely and you have to work so hard for them. We appreciate it! The climbing roses on the fence one is my favorite.

Such lovely shadows!
We have been having record hot weather this week. Tomorrow will be very hot!
Hope you have a great weekend.
Great shots. Love the one of your dog. Very cute.
Excellent as always! I hope there's sun ready in two weeks -- I've had enough rain and cloudy skies to last a lifetime now LOL
Gorgeous shadows. I love the red, my friend.
fascinating captures!
Those roses and colored glass with lace curtains are just gorgeous, Sylvia. Wow!
Amazing how desperately trying to find shadows can often bring out the most creative ones! A great series and especially love the soft shadow of dear Sam!
Enough Sun to get some geat shots, I really like the flowers over the fence, so lovely!
Hope to see you next week :-)
Cutie Sir Sam! He looks to be doing a very fine job of watching over the gate. Maybe he's keeping an eye out for the sun so he can alert you as soon as he spots some! I love all of your shadow pics! So I guess if I ever visit Seattle I'll need to pack a big pile of wet weather gear! I tend to get quite crabby during long spells of dreary weather so I'd be a bundle of joy if I lived there! ;D
Glad you managed to capture some shadow shots with the sun peeking in and out! Sam makes a nice pictur anyway!
Have a nice day!
As always I love the lace and coloured glass .... and the rose on the fence is lovely too. Hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend, regards, Anne
We've been blessed with fabulous weather of late, heavy rains that made my strawberries huge and plenty of sun and hat days to make them sweet...I can't complain, even as a bit of rain settles in on us today...but then it always rains on Memorial Day weekend...I'm ready!
Those are gorgeous shadows around in your house you captured, Sylvia. We have rains for days now and its really hard to find shadows. I was just glad I found shadows from our visit to the beach last year for this week's SSS. And tomorrow is another forecast of heavy rains here.
Have a great week ahead!
great shots sylvia, despite the lack of sun. we always know you are good for some sunshine.
Fun shadows! Isn't it wonderful to have a new garden bed all turned up and ready for anything?
All of your shadow shots are wonderful, but I live for your colored glass shadows! :-D
Sorry you have had such miserable weather, Sylvia. We have been blessed with some lovely weather in recent days. Today is delightful and we are off to the Memorial Day Parade.
Sir Sam is cute as ever. And the rose bush shadow is pretty!
I liked seeing more colored glass shadows.
I took a photo this week and I immediately thought of you when I took it. I'll post it next week...
That Sam sure is a cutie. Even in Seattle you have some finr shadows Sylvia! I liked your two posts above this one too. Very good. A day of remembrance is important, lest we ever forget.
Yummy rose shot!! And, a very luscious red glass shot that I'd like to think are done expressly for me!
I hope you have had a great weekend so far!
