Important Warning! NOT A JOKE!

NOT A JOKE - VERY SERIOUS
THIS IS TRUE, I CHECKED IT MYSELF ON SNOPES.
Pass this on to everybody you know. Anybody that sees a plastic bottle in their yard would think nothing of picking it up to throw it away.
Looks like these things are starting to pop up around the U.S. Check the Snopes web site below, it's pretty scary.

Important warning! NOT A JOKE! Pay attention to this.
1.. A plastic bottle with a cap (Like a normal water bottle).
2. A little Drano.
3. A little water.
4. A small pi ece of foil.
5. Disturb it by moving it; and BOOM (Less than 30 seconds)!!
6. No fingers left and other serious effects to your face, eyes, etc.

People are finding these bombs in mailboxes and in their yards, just waiting for someone to pick it up intending to put it in the trash.
It takes about 30 seconds to blow after you move the thing.
See "SNOPES" below....it's true.

This is just the scariest thing. It's incredible that we've got people who are this sick and hateful in this world.

That's crazy, some people should use their creativity otherwise ! So far I never heard of that over here !

Some people are simply destructive. We've seen a handful of these things in my town.

So sad and sickening that some people are amused by this kind of tactic. I hope the 'trend' doesn't spread.

That is really frightening. What on earth is the world coming to???

Oh that's just too sad that people terrorise others like this. I pray it doesn't spread, Sylvia. Have a wonderful weekend (mine starts tonight as Friday is Sunday in the Sudan.) Jo

What a twisted world we live in. I know there are lots of wonderful people out there, but it seems that the twisted minds are increasing. Love your music!

Oh my goodness, Sylvia. I was just going to thank you for your kind comment on my first attempt at Skywatch Friday, but when I scrolled down I saw this warning. I clicked on your Snopes link immediately. It's hard to believe anyone would do things like that, and I cringe when I think what our dog might do if she found a bottle in our yard. She's used to my husband taking a water bottle for her when they're walking. I'm going to post this on my blog and on Facebook. It is just dreadful. Thanks for the warning.

This was interesting in a very bad way.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
