a thought,
close in the mind;
then,
a sharing,
with folks,
earlier close,
but now
a bit at a distance;
And finally
a striking out,
wide and open ,
to enjoy
your very own sunsets
on a golden evening
ensconced
amidst the boxes and bags;
So like
the blinds
on the picture window
gradually
opening up
and then some;
so you can smile
at the Sun
reveling amidst
his cloudy baggage,
before settling in for the night...

We have only one west-facing window, and it is very small. I dream of adding a larger window, for winter sunsets when it's too cold to go outside. Your photo has reawakened that dream.
