That's My World!

That's My World is hosted each week by Klaus and the My World team, Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and me. Join us and share your world with others from all over Our World! Just click on the post title, read the rules, sign up and play with us! So! How is your world this week? Have you taken time to see the beauty there? What is it about your world that makes you smile or laugh or feel grateful for?

On Friday I went on one of the four or five trips a week arranged by the complex where I live now and I got to see a part of my world that I had never seen! And that's what I'm sharing with you today! Bellevue, WA is about a half hour drive from here and I was amazed at all the sky scrapers, parks and beautiful neighborhoods as we drove through town. Everyone on the bus except me headed for the huge Mall -- and me??? I headed across the street to one of the loveliest parks I've seen anywhere and particularly lovely on this amazingly beautiful, sunny spring day!

Hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed taking them!!

Thank you for sharing ! These pictures have almost taken me to WA. I would have liked to see a lot of places myself. My husband has become afraid of travelling. He doesnot admit it. He says that he it is tedious. My son in Hawaii is requesting so mush that he come there, but I am unable to convince him.
My family is my world. Also I like to be a part of the family called the world and the place called the Earth. When I leave from this Earth I want to be satisfied that I did something good for this Earth. I am afraid that I may not, but I will try my best.
Your post is great. Again thanks for sharing.

Yes … I can see by your captures why your new world and its surrounding areas feel particularly beautiful, Sylvia! Bellevue is a place I haven’t visited for a very long time … we are more apt to visit Bellingham. The park is unique and I love the waterway that almost seems Grecian in design. Also love the quotes that seem especially profound today. Thanks as always for sharing your journey. :)

I'm with you, Sylvia! I'd much rather take my camera to the park than sop at a mall. :) And the park was truly worth it!

I agree with my friend Penelope — I haven't been to Bellevue, WA, for many years, either, and your quotations today are particularly good, especially the second one.
I'm so glad you went to the park instead of the mall. Your photos are dreamy, and malls are definitely not!

Sylvia, you definitely made the right decision. You can go to a mall anywhere. This is a lovely city park, which you captured nicely.

I'd much prefer the park as well. What lovely photographs! I've been to Seattle, but not Bellevue. What wonderful sites you found! And I love your quotes. so perfect.
I must say it's fun to watch your changing header!

I have seen this park, driving by, but have never walked in it. I would have been there in the park with you. Shopping? Not me.

Bellevue is a beautiful place, I think I know how you got attracted. Skyscrapers don't look oppressive, probably due to spacious green area.

I love your new header and each and every photo. The quotes about time is profound, especially I'm impressed by Dion Boucicault's.

Thank you for sharing, Sylvia, and have a wonderful week.

Hi there - I'm with you on this one - rather be outdoors than in a mall - in fact I'd rather be almost anywhere rather than in a mall!

Have a good week
