Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM Eastern Standard Time. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty. Click on the web address under the blog title and sign up to play with us! Back to the archives -- I'm going to run out of pics altogether if this grumpy weather continues with just enough sun to tease!! But considering the weather  everywhere else, I shouldn't complain and so I'll stop right now and wish you all a wonderful weekend with lots of love and laughter and whatever else floats your boat! Enjoy!
Life loves the liver of it.
Maya Angelou

 It takes all kinds,
and all shapes;
and to coexist,
you can't just
"reflect"
on yourself.

Mangrovy ones,
weighted
with the worries
of age,
spread thin
across the middle...

Sparse Bamboo style,
thin branches
finding their way
carrying
inquisitive
pointy leaves

Regular
lushly foliated,
40-is-the-new-20,
mango and jamun,
in anticipation
of new fruit,
bending
from a bit of
safe distance
....

And some really
indisciplined
long ,
green
young blades,
rabble rousing
pushing each other
into the water.....

They enjoy together,
because,
unable to
selfishly
"reflect"
on themselves,
they can only see each other
when they look into the water....

As I grow older, I pay less attention to what men say. I just watch what they do.
Andrew Carnegie

I probably should have kept that lapse to myself. but we're all friends here so what the hay. great reflections Syvia - I especially like that last one. that water looks fine. have a great weekend Sylvia!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
