Sky Watch Friday!

Time to share your skies, the beauty over your world, the clouds, the colors! Sky Watch is hosted each week by Klaus and the Sky Watch team of Klaus, Sandy, Wren and me. Join us and the many people from all over the world who share theirs with us each week! Click on the address under the post title to be taken to the SWF website where you can sign up.

Ah, the very best time of the year in the northwest -- even if we do actually have a wintery day now and then! And we did have a couple of those this week, but it's gorgeous again and all the more appreciated! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Don't watch too much news -- it's depressing as hell, so look for the beauty around you and focus on that!

This country has come to feel the same when Congress is in session as when the baby gets hold of a hammer.

Congress is so strange.  A man gets up to speak and says nothing.  Nobody listens - and then everybody disagrees.

Ancient Rome declined because it had a Senate, now what's going to happen to us with both a House and a Senate?

It might be more worthwhile if we stopped wringing our hands and started ringing our congressmen.

Exquisite sky shots...and your quotes are so fine. The second photo is by far my favorite though all of them are wonderful. I see you have a new banner. You are going to have to put all of these into a book. They are just the best. Genie

Your skies are always so lovely and inspiring. Great, and timely, quotes. Do you think they are EVER going to get us on the right track? I'm beginning to have my doubts. Have a lovely weekend, Sylvia. Mickie :)

Beautiful pictures, wry quotes! Good advice (not to watch too much news!)....Now that quote about better not to wring your hands, but instead ring your congressman"...people did do that after the President's speech -- I read that congressional phone lines and websites went on overload from constituent contacts. But it didn't seem to do much good did it? Or maybe the quote meant "wring" (as in their necks ;>).....

What marvellous skies! And a lovely red maple too. Have a great weekend.

Your quotes are so very appropriate for this very stressful time. I'm so mad at our government right now! Luckily your beautiful skies calmed me down.

That's a wonderful series of different skies again, Sylvia.
The first one is my favourite because of the warm colors.

Hi there - more words of wisdom from Mr. O'Rourke! Not sure I'd want him to run a government - but he has a great turn of phrase.

Fav image this week - No. 2 the big fluffy ones. Splendid.

Have a good weekend.

Lovely skies, Sylvia. Such a nice refuge from that nonsense playing out in the other Washington.

Wonderful shots, as usual, and great quotes too. I especially like the one at the bottom, it's universal.
Now can you please tell me the name of the red plant? I would love to have one of these but I'm not sure I can keep it in summer, I'm afraid it will not survive the heat...
Your headers are getting funnier and funnier! :-)
