Time to share your skies, the beauty over your world, the clouds, the colors! Sky Watch is hosted each week by Klaus and the Sky Watch team of Klaus, Sandy, Wren and me. And yet another week has slipped by!!! Time does seem to fly whether you're having fun or not! Fortunately, I nearly always have fun -- well, except when and if I turn on the news!!! Our weather is still cool, but pleasant, with a variety of skies as you can see here! Hope you all have a beautiful weekend, avoid the news, enjoy time with your family or with the things that bring you joy and pleasure. Preachy old broad aren't I??? |

ooh la la, love that second photo. and that's a fine new header too! happy SWF Sylvia. always a pleasure.
Sylvia, isn't it funny how we split everything? Our fun lives go in one compartment, and everything else, like the news, goes in the other compartment!
Happy weekend, and enjoy your skywatching (don't forget the meteor shower) because we always enjoy your photos.
I love your skywatch as usual. And also LOVE the new header, Always a special treat for me to visit your blog. I hope you're having a good week and that your weekend is really blessed. Jo
Beautiful skies Sylvia.
Glorious colors.
Have a beautiful weekend.

Out--as ever--standing, Sylvia. You always blend thought and image into a beautiful meal for the mind. I feel so good when I visit your blog.
Beautiful quotes of reminders. . .gorgeous skies, Sylvia. You always find the very best to show us--thanks for sharing the beauty!

the last photo w/ the red bush against the blue and green. WOW!
Wonderful shots. I loved the first shot very much.
I adore the writings of Dr. Albert Schweitzer. The red tree is so lovely, is that a Red Maple by chance? Have a splendid week Sylvia~
Your photographs are always so beautiful. I'm with you about the news. I try to tune it out which I know isn't good of me but it's how I cope at the moment.
That third photo gives me hope that Autumn is on the way, Thanks!
As always they are all lovely!
I've noticed that my happiness is inversely proportional to the amount of news I watch.
The clouds in your second photo are amazing. But then, all three photos are wonderful.
Great photo's...my favorites are the first Two...stunning
Love your shots - the one in the middle is awesome! Have a nice weekend:)
Great scenes!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Glorious skies. I love how the clouds are waving on the second photo.
Happy sky watching!

Hiya,
There's that beautiful red maple again. Still in great form.
You must look after it well.
i always always love your presentation during skywatch.
My sky is here
I love the dramatic sky in the two first photos, but my favourite is the last with red maple:)
Happy SWF, Sylvia!
Delightful collection of skies and quotes as always Sylvia, thanks for making SWF such a great event
Absolutely gorgeous shots!
Hey Syl!
I love the light streaming through the clouds in the first picture,it reminds me of a holy presence. The light and dark of the second shot really shows the beauty of a sky. I really like the blue, green and red together in the third picture. You've outdone yourself once again! Bravo!
Beautiful shots! The second is so interesting, those clouds are special!
You could nicely escape the news by being out on one of those sailboats...
Beautiful photos!
Awesome shots this week, and I adore the words from Albert Schweitzer. I bet Bud is looking at the blossoms at his feet as he trudges ahead on his hike. Al of your captures are beautiful. You are such a great picture taker. Love the new banner. Genie
I particularly like that second one!
Preach away - we all need to be reminded of the beauties of the world we live in. I love your first photo - just stunning.
Once again, Sylvia, great sky photos to go with your bits of wisdom.
Beautiful skies Sylvia and how wise Albert Schweitzer was :)
Good to hear you have fun all the time - me too :)
Happy SWF!
Sylvia, beautiful captures! I love the first shot with the sailboats. It is a gorgeous scene. Have a great weekend and happy skywatching!
Fab shots Sylvia! I'd love to be on one of those sailboats in the first one. I hope you have a great weekend!
Your first photo is spectacular, Sylvia. I would enjoy seeing it in person. With the weekend coming up, go out and have some more fun and mischief!!
Beautiful skies, Sylvia!
You live in a beautiful place.
Pictures are beautiful -- especially that peachy sky w/ the mountainy cloud, that one's my favorite.
You can, by the way, preach that sermon any time you want to -- we need it!!!
In the hopes of reaching the moon men fail to see the flowers that blossom at their feet.
Albert Schweitzer
I agree with this saying. My dad's offsprings are always arguing about this with our spouses. When I think of the money wasted in going to space, why not find a way to make the deserts hospitable to live. My husband will never agree.
View from your home is so beautiful. Have a nice weekend.
Loved all the three pictures and the quotes but my favorite today are the second picture and the quote.
So lovely, Sylvia. I'd like to be out on the lake in the first one. Those clouds in the second shot are so unusual. Great photos as always. I copied down the quotes too--I always love the way some people can say something of great importance in few, but very meaningful words. Have a lovely weekend. Mickie ;)
Lovely skies and just thinking how serene it looks and how chaotic the big house is ^_^

You have some of the most beautiful sunsets and skies!
You did find a variety of skies. Ours have been unremitting blue with nary a cloud to add interest.
marvelous skies!
Those red eaves and blue skies look beautiful.
You've had some lovely evening skies! Fabulous pictures. And that last quote is a great reminder to enjoy the small moments in life.
Old Albert was a pretty smart fellow. I would have loved sharing a cup or six of coffee with him.
I hope all is well.
Love the pics and love hearing from this preachy old broad any time :)) xo
There's some amazing cloud action in your second sky shot, Sylvia. My favorite quote today is von Goethe's. Frankly, I avoid watching the news; I find the [yelling, histrionic] newscasters generally as bad as the news itself. Reading about it is upsetting enough, but at least then I can skim or ignore parts. Keep smiling, Sylvia!
Great mix of shots and quotes. Always a pleasure to see how you present them. :)
Awesome skies as always :)

Beautiful skies and the quotes are not bad either, lol ! Going by car to the poors ...
Loved the golden rays in the first photo .
i like the cloud formations in the 2nd photo--they look like waves!
enjoy the weekend!
Hi Sylvia! So, We, The People who are not in holidays, keep the blogosphere alive... ;)
Great quotes! Schweitzer says it all...
Blogtrotter Two, which just crossed Corsica from North to South, waits for you! Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!!
Magical skies Sylvia. That second shot with the upswept clouds just blew me away.
I certainly am having a very tiring but wonderful time these last two days. Pruning roses with a vengeance. The poor things have been dreadfully neglected over the last three years so it is hard going with secateurs and saw but I love it.
lovely shots as always
happy SWF

It's a great Skywatch post again, Sylvia.
I love the first and specially the second shot.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Always lovely photos. Love the quote from Will Rogers. will repost to my facebook page. Hope you have a great weekend
I love that sunset over the water! The slightly golden path the setting sun left one the water is just gorgeous!!
beautiful skies. :)
wow! pretty stunning...love all the shots!
thanks for dropping by at explorerminded.com
Hi there - the rays of light in the first iamge are great!
Weekend was busy - but good! I took a 3 day break to Tasmania and pack in about as much as I often do in a week - and my feet felt like it at the end of the day!
Cheers - Stewart M
