Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest    appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.
                                     John Fitzgerald Kennedy

There are always flowers for those who want to see them. Henri Matisse

The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I have to remind myself of this quite often!!!

Awesome! The Kennedy quote is poignant around the anniversary of his demise. And those flowers--they are here. Thank you, my friend.

The colors in the first photo are so rich, Sylvia!
I perused your header blog to look over the headers Suranga made for you. They are such fun!

I know those leaves are now gone but they certainly serve as a reminder of the spectacular natural painting of Autumn. Re: Longfellow. He didn't live on the North Oregon Coast where it rains over twice as much as it does in Seattle.

Good photos and a perfect approach to the beauty of the strength of the colors in the fall.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
