Our World Tuesday!!

Time for "Our World" again! This is a wonderful way to find the beauty, the fun, the good and even the bad things about Our World and to share them! Hope you will join us! Click on the link  to go to the Our World site and sign up!!

A look back at some of the fun times, the Wooden Boat Festival, watching boats in the harbor, the fragrance of the Lavender Festival and the beauty that surrounds me every day. I have good reasons today to be most appreciative! Hope you all have a wonderful week! Enjoy!
And thank you for your kind thoughts regarding the death of my children's father. We had remained good friends for many years and he was a wonderful father. He will be missed.

The golden glow of the sun in the last photo and the cascade of lavender in the first are, indeed, breathtaking. I, too, was sorry to read of your loss and agree with the wonderful quote you sited earlier by Thomas Campbell who said: To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.

That last shot is exquisite Sylvia - as today's cares, events, challenges and experiences drop away with the setting sun, so a fresh tomorrow awaits to be discovered and enjoyed. Wishing you a wonderful week.

Lavender whether in a farm or alone in a pot is always very beautiful. However, i've just seen it once in this lifetime as we don't have it here. When i saw it in Sweden, i visited it several times. And your blue seas look so deep!

A wonderful look back, Sylvia - you certainly live in an amazingly beautiful place. It's one of the places I've considered moving, and I wouldn't be surprised if I end up there at some point in my life.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
