Shadow Shot Sunday!

When your friends begin to flatter you on how young you look, it's a sure
sign you're getting old.
Mark Twain

I thought the mallard duck here was the choir director for the flamingos and I was certain they were getting ready to perform, but I guess they were taking a break!

The mallard amongst the flamingos is really interesting! I guess it's wondering why all of the guys are standing on one leg...
God bless you!

Man that Mark Twain was a wise guy! Very cool Shadow Shots. This week you seem to be a budding ornithologist!! Happy SSS.

The mallard indeed looks like a maestro, although the orchestra of flamingos seem yo not care, nor feel like taking direction from a mere duck. Artistes can be so temperamental...

i love that 2nd pic! what a great con-duck-tor!

The first quote produced an "ouch", as I have a signifacant birthday this year!!
Love the photo of the flamingos

The duck as the choir director just crack me up. For years I sang in the choir and had to be put down with the baritones because my voice is so low. For Christmas that year I did a piece of cross stitch for the director saying: If you can’t sing, fake it! I am wondering if the flamingos are use faking it. Have a nice rest of the weekend. In process of getting out tickets to either Portland or Seattle the first week in August. 6 of us on one flight....they may not let us on the plane. I cannot wait. genie

Great shadows on those flamingos, Sylvia! I bet you're right - had you waited long enough, the show surely would have started up :)
Have a great week!

I love the Mallard Duck choirmaster. Spot on, Sylvia! What lovely shots and shadows. Thanks for always popping into my blog. We also do seem to be moving a lot more now that we're older, but although it's challenging to start anew, it's very interesting to stay in different countries, as you mentioned. Hope your weekend is going well. Jo

Fantastic images you got there.

They do seem to be ignoring the conductor!

Love your header this week. :)

CanadianGardenJoy said...

Sylvia I get such a giggle out of your headers by your Mumbai friend .. they are too cute .. and so is this duck seemingly out of place with all of these PINK flamingos ! LOL
I think Mark Twain is VERY right ?
Joy : )

Gemma Wiseman said...

Such gorgeous photos! Love all the greens in the first photo! But the flamingo scene is completely adorable! The mallard does look like the choir master while the flamingos choose to ignore him! This begs for a story!

Haha, I love those Flamingos, that duck sure looks like he is waiting for them to look his way so he can get them started with a song.

Fabulous colours in the top shot Sylvia, and I think M. Mallard certainly has his wings full with that unruly flock of flamingoes!!
