Well that was a surprise Sylvia, to scroll down and find that incredibly orange beady eye looking at moi haha! Gorgeous shots and the Dale Carnegie quote is unfortunately so true. We actually had a bit of sun today and 22C, short lived back to rain tomorrow, but it was nice!
You got some wonderful photos in spite of gray weather. Your portrait of the dove is marvelous, and I like the quote by Colette under it.
I hope that volcano (Mount Rainier?) will continue to sleep! It looks like a sleeping beauty indeed.

That first shot is spectacular, that must be the last evening light. Hopefully you'll get some summer soon. In the meantime enjoy what you've got, at least your state isn't burning up!
It may be gray most of the time but that clear sky over Rainier is marvelous. Plus all those colorful flowers are magnificent.
