Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed.

I always appreciate your sunset views, but I rather like this window shot. I'm a sucker for those anyway. Have a happy weekend.

Gee, I was feeling pretty good about winning the rat race until I read today's post. (Nice pix.) Enjoy the weekend, Sylvia.

More beautiful photos! Is that ice on the first one?

Lily Tomlin never fails to amuse!

Re your comment on The Villages: You must realize that The Villages is a Disneyland for adults and therefore, much of what you see is an illusion. In Lake Sumter Landing, for example, many of the buildings were created to appear as if they were very old. They are about 10 years old. There is no taxidermy in Lake Sumter Landing! :-)

YOur second quote made me giggle, too. Looks like fall is on its way. The water shot is so pretty and peaceful. Lovely landscape. gene

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
