A thousand words will not leave so deep an impression as one deed.
Henrik Ibsen
You are not in this world to live up to other people's expectations, nor should you feel the world must live up to yours.

I just love the one with the duck : four ducks on a raft, that could be a terrific tittle for a play... Don't you think ?

The world doesn't have to live up to my expectations? Since when?

Love that last quote! How very true! The sky is gorgeous in the first photo.

I would add one of my own observations to the ones you've published:

Nothing keeps you awake better than trying to go to sleep.

Maybe that's my age speaking? You think?

Such gorgeous images, again. I do love the first one, especially.

Hope your weekend is filled with good stuff!

That's a fun collection -- three entirely different kinds of reflections! All beautifully done!

Beautiful reflections, Sylvia, and I love your autumn Skywatch photos in the previous post too. You're probably almost relieved to get some rain after such a dry spell, the world is upside-down when we're wetter than you. I hope you and Sam have a great weekend!

The ducks look like they are looking at their own reflections. The quote with that photo is so true, I wonder why.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
