Ah, colorful autumn!! And how glorious it is, in spite of elections and all the nightmares of politics! For just a few moments put all of that aside and enjoy the beauty that is there for each of us!!
Hope all of you have a wonderful week!!

To all my friends in India, Happy Divali!

These pictures form a good metaphor as to Obama's reelection. They are wonderful, but carry the hint of winter and cold. Yet, the promise of spring is there, too, when things warm up and new life springs forth.

I'm glad he won, but he's going to have a tough road for awhile unless the GOP decides maybe they can cooperate for a change. Mr. O, I think, has had enough of such, and we're going to see more movement toward rebuilding this country even without the anti-Obama bunch in Congress.

What amazing fall colors you have, Sylvia! Our snow a couple weeks ago disrupted our fall. Many leaves just froze and fell.

Magnificent fall colours indeed Sylvia.

Thanks for sticking by me. I'm not yet right but at least I'm mending.

Stunning reds in that last picture.

To take the pictures of the chandelier from below I used the "put the camera on the floor and set the self timer" method - its a great way to take shots looking up - as long as there are not too many people walking about that is!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
