I haven't been able to get out with the camera lately -- things have been busy and the weather has been junky -- SO, as I was going through my photo files, I realized that in April I will be moving back to Portland, Oregon!! And while I am happy about that, it was fun remembering my first birthday in Seattle when my son, Adam, took me on a fantastic flight all around the Seattle area! AND as the birthday gal, I got to sit in the co-pilot seat!!  It was one of the most fun birthdays ever!!!  Hope you enjoy!

Oh, yes!! It was a fun day!!!

What beautiful shots of Seattle! Love them all. It's good that you will be near your son in Portland. A good move, I think!

Sylvia, wow what a fun place ride. Beautiful views of Seattle. I loved both Oregon and Washington during my visits there. I hope you love living in Portland. Beautiful photos and thanks for sharing your world. Have a great week ahead.

That is a pretty cool shot of you in that plane, Sylvia. Seems it was just yesterday you moved to your new apartment and now I hear you are moving to Oregon. Although I love Seattle, Oregon is definitely one of my favorite states in the US. I remember the vibrant coastline and good people when I visited there. :)

Oh wow that does look like fun Sylvia, How cool do you look sitting up there with the pilot. Great aerial views. I've enjoyed seeing Seattle through your eyes and I'm sure you will do justice to Portland when you move there.

Oh, that does look like fun! Going to Portland! Well, I guess I can overlook that as long as you don't support the Portland Timbers soccer team. :) We hate them, you know.

Lucky you! I was going to "needle" you a bit but I'm just gaga about the photos of your beautiful city. I'll just shut up and go away! But first, Merci!"

They make me only slightly queasy. I keep imagining people in seats flying out in amusement park style from that first one. http://looseleafnotes.com

Sylvia! Here I am just scrolling along through all your posts I missed in the last couple of weeks...admiring the beauty, laughing at the jokes, wishing I were half as good a photographer...and then here is this unexpected news that you're moving back to Oregon in the Spring. I know you have told me before that you liked Oregon and it isn't a long move of course...and there are many beautiful photo ops around Portland of course. I hope the move is for a wonderful reason and it will be fun to be in the same state next summer (at least I hope to be there then). Wow!

How terrific! Nice to see you, Sylvia, even if it's from a few years ago. I hope you're looking forward to your move to Portland. I know it's a nice city, too! I just hope you don't have as much to pack as we do for our move to Moldova soon! I've been threatening this for some time, but ever since we got our project approved last Aug, it's been a hurry up and wait situation. Now our sponsors have indicated that the contract will be signed next week and then we're off! Will miss Manila, but new adventures await us!
