Sky Watch Friday!

Time to share your skies, the beauty over your world, the clouds, the colors! Sky Watch is hosted each week by  the Sky Watch team of  Sandy and I. And this week as every week, we remember Klaus and know that he joins us in spirit! Join us and the many people from all over the world who share theirs with us each week!  http://skyley.blogspot.com/
Well, you guys will have to put up with me for a couple more days as Adam's schedule got busied up at the last minute and he won't be able to pick me up until Saturday morning!!  But at least it will be a great weekend!!
One of the most glorious messes in the world is the mess created in the living room on Christmas day.  Don't clean it up too quickly.    Andy Rooney

Christmas is a necessity.  There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we're here for something else besides ourselves.   Eric Sevareid

I wish we could put up some of the Christmas spirit in jars and open a jar of it every month.     Harlan Miller

A Christmas candle is a lovely thing;
It makes no noise at all,
But softly gives itself away.

Oh, beautiful, oh gorgeous skies -
those words are truly reflected in your pictures, Sylvia!
Happy SkyWatch and Merry Christmas,
much love,
Merisi

P.S.: Watch out for my Christmas card. *smile*
It will remind you of Andy Rooney's words (that dear, dear man, he was always such a joy to watch and to chuckle over his stories and wisdom, on Sunday evenings).

Gorgeous skies you have captured for us! And delightful quotes. I saw your comment on Jim's post about the scaffolding. They did something similar around the Washington Monument 12 years ago when it was restored (link http://www.michaelgraves.com/architecture/project/the-washington-monument-restoration.html)

Gorgeous photos and pithy quotes...makes me almost like Xmas again. :-))

Best wishes to you and yours for a great holiday!

Re your questions on The Villages: You can fish in Lake Sumter (and wouldn't want to!)...here in Stone Creek you can fish in most of the "ponds," but it is "catch-and-release."

Unless, of course, you hook an alligator, then it's "catch-and run"!

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
