The Seattle area has quite a variety of shopping centers and not your usual ones, so it's always fun to visit one you haven't been to before and that was the case with this one in nearby Botthell, WA, a small suburb of  Seattle. That's where my favorite tea shop is -- which I have shown you before. But the whole shopping center is like a small country village. Hope you enjoy!

I would love to visit this "small country village." It's very different, very attractive, and looks warm and inviting. In terms of how it approaches things, it reminds a bit of The Villages.

Which reminds me also of your question this morning: Cody's Roadhouse is a chain. We have one in Ocala, and there are others around northern Florida. Some people like it a lot. I think the "Vacancy" sign is part of the ambiance - roadhouses, in the old days, included rooms to let...so they put up the sign to complete the image of an old roadhouse which let rooms and served food.

Best to you for a wonderful week ahead.

Your photos today were exemplary!

I can’t remember being to Botthell, WA, but it sure seems loaded with villiage charm and worth a visit. I bet the little tea shop will miss seeing you there, Sylvia!

Hello Sylvia,
What a beautiful place! I hope I will visit here and take a walk someday.
According to a calendar, on February 4th, spring started. In your photos I felt spring in the air and in lovely flowers.
All photos are splendid! I love your header too!!

Change before you have to. That is a thought to dwell on, isn't it? It is probably quite true, but it is also quite scary. We are not all equally nimble.

It is a wonderful community, thanks for the tour, as i am almost sure i will not be able to see that landscape. But it is so amusing that a stray chicken is roaming around, haha, as if it is in the backward province here in our country.

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company.
