Our neighbor just got a black lab puppy. So very cute but what a handful. They take him outside for 30 minutes and he does nothing. Steps inside the door and puddles all over the place! It's gonna take a while!

I haven't seen this series before, it's truly classic. Never mess with a child near it's mother!
I think it was the element of surprise and had he not been caught off guard it would have been different. But Mothers tap into hidden resources when their child is in danger.

If I was the photographer, I'd try to save the baby squirrel. Not sit there and take pictures. Pfft!

Wow that really is amazing - but I know how momma squirrel did that - it echoes what happened with me in the rat episode (Menosukhi Monday at Meno this week). Preservation of the ones we love is dominant at times like this.
