Sky Watch!

Time to share your skies, the beauty over your world, the clouds, the colors! Sky Watch is hosted each week by  the Sky Watch team led by Yogi, Sandy and Sylvia. And this week as every week, we remember Klaus and know that he joins us in spirit! Join us and the many people from all over the world who share theirs with us each week!  http://skyley.blogspot.com/
The first ten days I was in Portland it RAINED!!! and the skies were gray, gray, gray!! When we finally had some sunshine it was in the middle of the week, no way for me to get around other than around the back yard!! It was good to see the blue, but obviously no wide view!!

Even if happiness forgets you a little bit, never completely forget about it.   Jacques Prévert

Happiness is never stopping to think if you are.  Palmer Sondreal

You've had enough rain right now! Hope you get to see more of those blue skies.

Not a wide view but a lot of beautiful greens to cheer you up.

Hi Sylvia, I do believe you've had more sunshine in Portland than I have here in south Florida- where the sun shines most of the time.
Thanks for sharing your bits and pieces of beautiful sunny skies- it brightened my day!

Blue sky is the same everywhere! :-) We've finally had 3 days of sunshine too but they say we're now in for thunderstorms...

Pouring rain here in Florida today (tropical storm warnings). I wish I was in Oregon, where at least the rain isn't scary.

I'm so glad you're back in blogland.

Great sky in your photos!

Some of your best views are from your own back porch. Lovely blue skies, after so much rain and gloom.

I like your view Sylvia! That's what I love about skywatching, no matter where you are, just look up and it's there!

Thanks Sylvia

Hope you get some sunshine for awhile. We are having another rainy day here today.. Seems like we've had an over-abundance of rain (for us) this spring. BUT--I'd rather have the rain than drought (which we have had before several times)...

Nice sky photos --and I can't wait to see more of your area.

Hugs,
Betsy

I'm glad you've had some blue skies above your new home. I think your view is about as wide as mine in our garden. I hope you get used to it soon and will happy with it as much as possible.

I see that all that rain has produced an awful lot of green to contrast with the blue skies. :)

Looks like the rain has made the air crisp and clear. The colors are all so vibrant! Have a fun, relaxing weekend, Sylvia!

When it never rains you'll never be able to really enjoy the sunshine, Sylvia! Have a great weekend!

As long as you can look up and see a patch of blue, the world is all right. Beautiful as your grand views were, it is best to be contented with what we have and enjoy the memories.
Well, Portland is known for it's copious rain, but so was Seattle.
I like your private view of heaven . . .

Glad you have some blue skies to show us, lovely shots and I like the second quote, very true.

Lovely skies Sylvia. I have traveling so much that I have been missing sky watches. By end of June, I think things will settle down a bit. Enjoy your new place and the skies.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
