Some Wisdom and Beauty for the Day!

Happiness is a choice, not a result.
Nothing will make you happy until you
choose to be happy.
No person will make you happy unless you
decide to be happy.
Your happiness will
not come to you.
It can only come
from you.

Oh and sometimes it is so hard to make ourselves happy, especially when we look around us and see things happening that shouldn't be and not having any control over it. But, truth is if we bring our thoughts back to our own little circle we can find happy in our hearts. That is not to say we shouldn't reach out and do what we can about the unhappy state of affairs, but we should never forget what is good in our lives. Awesome post, Sylvia ... and how did I know you would be someone who loved and fed the squirrels :)

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
