Sky Watch

World peace must develop from inner peace. Peace is not just the absence of violence but the manifestation of human compassion.
Dalai Lama
Welcome to Sky Watch!! Join us and share the beauty of your skies as we watch the changing season!!

There is no way to peace.  Peace is the way.  Mahatma Ghandi

I think that people want peace so much that one of these days government had better get out of the way and let them have it.
Dwight Eisenhower

More gorgeous photos, Sylvia! And some great quotes. It seems, however, that humans enjoy war more than they do peace and the likelihood of that changing in our lifetime is zero to none.

Religion plays a huge part in humanity's inhumanity but we'd probably find something else to fight about if religion went away.

But maybe not?

Have a great day!

Fab offerings as we have come to expect of you m'dear!

The basis of inhumanity is animal instinct for power and greed. Sadly, religion is as much a victim as any living thing. Each century there may be a different focus, but the core evil will remain eternally the same. Power and greed.

These quotes point to the alternative and provide hope. YAM xx

That golden sky is remarkable. I have loved our time in Alaska and it is an amazing state, but there are no lovely sunsets and sunrises.

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
