What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.

Glad your blog is up and running again, Sylvia, but I am feeling very bad that your daughter is not well. I hope you can accept this news - even though it's terribly difficult - and wish you all the best in 2015.

That you can even come forward and wish happiness for all of us while you suffer the pain of an impending loss speaks to the strenght and kindness of your heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to you at such a difficult time. No mother should outlive her child and perhaps the coming year will prove them wrong and she will have more time ... each day is precious.
My heart goes out to you, Sylvia ... who does so much to make us all laugh and enjoy life. Life is not fair, but we will be by your side in spirit and give what comfort we can offer. Let this Christmas season give you strength and hope and bless your daughter with the same. Stay strong, Sylvia, but do not fear the tears that will come ... they are there to help you feel the love you have for this child.
