Sky Watch!!

And another month is slipping by!!  Time does fly doesn’t it, but then I ask you that every week, don’t I!!!  Regardless of the month though, here in Portland it’s been GRAY, GRAY, GRAY!!  I needed some color!! So, here’ s some from brighter times!

As long as you keep a person down, some part of you has to be down there to hold him down, so it means you cannot soar as you otherwise might.

That's a great Marian Anderson quote and something to ponder!!

I'm sad to hear that you have as much grey as we have, but then I suspect that you have much the same climate (at least it looked like it further north the times I was visiting Seattle and Vancouver). But then you have much colour on your hard disk that you can share with us :-)

Hello Sylvia, sorry your skies are gray lately. I love these images, the sky and quotes are beautiful. Have a happy weekend!

Color is very important and studies have indicated how color can affect mood and feelings. I've always thought photos from the black and white era really didn't tell the whole story because color is important to understand nuance and setting.

I've seen some pictures recently which were originally black and white but had been redone in color and they were magnificent. If I can find them, I'll send them to you. Or may be I did? I can't remember much you know!

I believe in untapped possibilities. Always can count on wonderful sky images being posted on your blog. Clicking away...like the T-Shirt saying a bunch.

Beautiful skies! Fire in the first shot and clouds extinguished in the last.

Love that pileup of fluffy clouds! So pretty. You'll get your beautiful Oregon back before too long. Pretty soon I'll be envious of your spring flowers and spring weather while we're sweltering down here.

I hope the sun breaks through for you soon Sylvia.

We are supposed to get ice or snow on Sunday. I am not into it.

Sylvia, I really like the last photo with the blue skies and the puffiest of clouds.

Lovely shots Sylvia. I especially like that last one with the thunderous clouds overhead. (I'll trade you climates - we're expecting 41 degrees Celcius today!)

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
