Sky Watch!!

Time to share the beauty and wonder of our skies!! We’ve had such a variety lately – beautiful blue skies, only a few puffy white clouds and lots of sunshine!! And then a surprise!! The sun goes down and the skies go wild with incredible colors and cloud formations!! You wonder if a big storm is on its way!!  But no, as the night moves in , the skies seem to decide it’s more fun to play in the sky and leave the storm for another day and the colors and clouds move on to “spook” other areas before bedtime!!

They do put on a great show, don’t they!!! Hope all of you have a wonderful and beautiful weekend!!

Great pic Sylvia. We seemed to have dodged a bullet in Tulsa from Tropical Storm Bill. Other parts of Tulsa got soaked.

Hi Sylvia. Cool sunset pics.

I haven’t seen anything quite as dramatic in the skies yet in my neck of the Northwest this year. However, I hear some rain might be coming and I sure hope it does because it has been so dry here this past while and everything looks thirsty.

Stunning skies to be sure - much more beautiful than the dark clouds we've had all day!

It's not possible to get the "best" sunset without clouds. And sometimes, birds, as per the 2nd shot, makes the photo even better!

Storm clouds are always incredible to see, and those are some nice ones. Except I wish they'd go away tonight as there's supposed to be a concert in the nearby park. Have a great weekend, Sylvia!

Sylvia those are beautiful evening skies -- and sweet description of them. I love that you got the two birds flying in the one picture but they are both remarkable!

That first image shows the kind of sky I think of as an Old Testament sky. Nice.

Hi Sylvia, as always, beautiful photos with those clouds. I thinks I saw a shape of a dog and a shape of a hand in there :)
