Hi Sylvia, That is a beautiful rose! Hope you had a great 4th of July. Thank you for your kind words about Seattle. I love Portland as well! When I visit Portland I love the downtown area which seems so livable. Wishing you a fine Sunday!

Warm but beautiful sounds mighty good too me...as long as it isn't too warm. ;)

A belated happy fourth of July to you Sylvia, happy to hear the weather was perfect for your celebrations.. it certainly looks like the roses are enjoying the warm weather also. I'm just about to prune mine, but to be honest the winter has been a bit of a disappointment, not cold enough :)

Our wild forest roses are blooming - all pink. Yours is glorious. Many people are leaving Breckenridge today but more are arriving.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
