Beauty, Wisdom and Humor for the Day!

I'm a horse lover and I owned two for years and I still miss them!! A dear friend sent these to me yesterday and I wanted to share them with you today!! Hope you enjoy!

A horse loves freedom, and the weariest old work horse will  roll on the ground or break into a lumbering gallop when he is turned loose into the open. -Gerald Raftery

If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun. -Katherine Hepburn

They say you can't escape your past, but I don't believe that. I believe you escape it every day, over and over again, always cognizant of the difference between past and present. -Susan Richards

Sometimes a wild horse needs to feel that his rider is just a little bit wilder. -Francesca Lia Block

You can't become a decent horseman until you fall off and get up again, a good number of times. There's life in a nutshell. -Bear Grylls

And some colorful beauty!!

We have suspended Logan's horseback riding lessons for a while because of his schedule and other activities. I'm already missing them.

I love the Bear Grylls quote.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
