The Beauty of Autumn

"Delicious autumn!  My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth
seeking the successive autumns."
-   George Eliot

"The leaves fall, the wind blows, and the farm country slowly
changes from the summer cottons into its winter wools."
-   Henry Beston, Northern Farm

"Listen!  the wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves,
We have had our summer evenings, now for October eves!"
-  Humbert Wolfe

"Autumn is a season followed immediately by looking forward to Spring."

Oh yes, Autumn here is still in the 70's but we know it is going to get cold soon.

Glorious pics as usual, Sylvia. I like all the different colors in the first shot. Amazing view. That must be fairly close to where you live, right?

Have a great Wednesday!

Hi Sylvia, Just can't get enough of your wonderful views out over the water. Great!!! And that last quote: "Autumn is a season followed immediately by looking forward to Spring." Isn't that perfect! Neat post, as always. Have a great day Sylvia!

You should be abel to guess that I like the last one the best - always like pictures with something other than just a sunset.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
