Sky Watch Friday

Happy Sky Watch Friday! Join us Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, FishingGuy and Louise and share your skies with us. Click here to sign up.

This is my sky occupied only by beautiful clouds and breathtaking colors.

These last three photos were taken by my son who is overseeing the installation of wireless receivers in the Portland area. It shows how our world, our skies are being occupied by a new age. Still beautiful, but different.

Wireless receivers? Is this for cellphones?

Those are all very interesting shots. It is different seeing the wireless receivers beginning to cover the sky.

I love the first one Sylvia - very beautiful color!
You're right about the new age. I'm hoping the views of the skies don't get too cluttered however.

Everybody's reaching for the skies nowadays and too many of us spoil their beauty. Your pictures are gorgeous, though!

Have a great weekend! :-)

Love all the colors and seeing the city landscape as a back drop.

Yes, it seems even the sky is getting crowded these days. fortunately there are places even now where it's still unbroken. For now at least.

What an interesting collection of gizmos. Looks like something Disney or Pixar would create!

Love your pictures. Beautiful skies. I want to get back to your novel just as soon as I can find the time. I am enjoying reading it.

Thanks for showing your skies. I bet that you also grab your camera as soon as you see such a lovely sunset or sunrise. At least it's what I do!

What a cool photo essay!
It's definitely a different world. I've heard about churches leasing their steeples for receiving towers. It boggles the mind.
Happy SWF!

beautiful shot in the first photo.
In order to have all the new things in our lives the new age of towers and satellites seems to be a must have.

They are all great, and I'm a big fan of modern conveniences, but I still like the simple, natural sky the best.

This is interesting... when you look at them individually, they appear sculptural. Hmmmm...

Nicely done! Thanks for stopping by earlierr!

Beautiful colors in the first. The last three are much more modern than MY 'electrical' skies ;--)

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
