Evening, Wisdom and Beauty

We can live without religion and meditation, but we cannot survive without human affection. - Dalai Lama

A lot of wisdom in your lovely quotes and beauty in your photos.

I'm not surprised at the Dalai Lama's quote, though I should be....he speaks of things that are temporary and which, while satisfying to the senses, only fulfil us in a material sense. What of the spiritual?

As I said, it does not surprise me....

Perfect words to think about while falling asleep!
I think human affection is necessary for the soul to sing.

I forwarded the Deepak Chopra quote to a friend who was having a bad go of it the other day. These messages bring strength and perspective. i appreciate seeing them daily.

I like the fist one, We can live without religion and meditation, but we cannot survive without human affection. - Dalai Lama

without human affection. is some time hard to get from people around you you have to give and give and maybe you will get some back.

(I do not mean my husband and children they give me alot)MB

Deepak is on to something about accidents but first I have to take a walk in the woods to figure it out.

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
