Shadow Shot Sunday!
Time to play with the shadows again -- well, if you've had some sunshine, or lamplight or whatever works to create those fascinating shadow shots! This oh so fun meme is hosted each week by Tracy over at Hey Harriet! So click on the icon, sign up and show us what you've found this week!
It's been another week of sketchy sun, lots of rain, way, way too much cold wind -- well, you get the picture! But here's what I managed to come up with for today.
This is the shadow of the hanging basket that Adam bought for our front porch!
I saw this rosebud across the alley behind our house and it just seemed to be stretching so hard to reach for a little sunlight!
The flowers everywhere got to me this week!
And, of course, a favorite glass and one of my leftover "lace and vase" shots!

I love your hanging basket, Sylvia. And the flowers and glass are beautiful.
Good morning Sylvia. Once again your Shadow Shots are lovely.
Pretty! I like the way the lace scatters the light.
I love the colored glass colored shadows! This is a great idea for a meme!
The hanging plant leaves a shadow that compels us to leave the house as the sun has finally arrived. A floral EXIT sign! The stemware and vase are so colorful in shadow, the sun blazing in the sky and on the table, too!
Nice shadow of the hanging plant.
The flowers are so pretty and I love the colored glass pix, as always!
Love your photo in the header. Great capture of a beautiful day on the water.
Have a nice weekend, Sylvia.
The glass and lace - definitely my favourite!! Have a good (rest of the) weekend, Anne

What great shadows my friend. I love them :) And those flowers are just beautiful :) So pretty. Have a great Saturday :)
All very beautiful photos, Sylvia.
I like so much the first one: a good composition!
Happy Sunday!
Beautiful. I love that last one--the deep red of the vase shadow, the texture of the lace, and the subtle shadows the lace itself casts. Really nice.
All lovely pictures, but the vase and lace image is out of this world!
I can imagine having a poster with this image.
Sylvia that rosebud is perfection !
I love the glass and lace shots too .. I have to hunt around my home to find subject matter like that too !
Joy : )
So many beautiful images to choose from - I love them all.
The coloured shadows are very pretty but i think the hanging basket is my favourite
Carissima Sylvia...the red vase and its magic reflection on the white tablecloth and the lace doily is just SUBLIME......!!!!!
...and the for sunrays stretching little rose bud....beautiful!!!!!!!!
...But I do admire your wonderful Header: .....sea..sailboat..clear sparkling blue water and the "white bear family" in the pure white polar-clouds...did you see them..?
have a sunny and happy sunday, cara Sylvia
ciao ciao elvira
I wonder what kind of flower is in the hanging basket...? nice shadow captured...
And a lovely rhododendron flowers I think?
Thanks for dropping by and happy sunday...
Greetings from Sweden

Like them all but I LOVE the red glass and lace the best. Wonderful shot.
Good day Lady S!
You always captured those wonderful shadows around. I really love your coloured glasses shadows, in almost your posts. I appreciated you showed them to us.
Hope you have a wonderful day & great SS...
Love the hanging basket shadow! Must be nice to have flowers out everywhere. The gardens are looking a little drab here in Aust except for the beautiful wattles starting to appear. Enjoy your spring day!
all so wonderfully captured!
Sylvia,
I want to be like that rose across the alley. It sure does show us what's possible with some effort! Beautifully captured. I think your shadow shots are the best part of the week. They are so full of peace.
It was a picture perfect day in Iowa today, 85 degrees and a breezy, cooling wind...I'm in heaven, I wish I could send it your way!!!
I'm gonna go out to the porch swing and listen to the tree frogs...ahhh summer(soon)!!!
Have a wonderful weekend!
You found some sun. Here in Northern California winter keeps making encore performances, sun for a few days then more stormy weather.
The Shadow shot is really interesting - love the pattern and the color contrast. The other shots are good too - love the rosebud.
Your coloured glass shadows are always so very pretty! And that hanging basket shadow is fascinating!
The blue and red glass reflection is a class room lesson for me, I should try it some times.
Love your shots, glass & lace fav.
I love shadow shots of transparent items. They lend a different more interesting aspect. Yours are delightful.
At least the flowers have enjoyed all that rain. They sure look happy and healthy because of it! That's a gorgeous lacey coloured glass shot! I hope you have a super week ahead Sylvia and the cold winds ease off a bit. I hate windy weather. It gives me major headaches. Ick!
Beautiful series of shadow shots. The coloured glass and lace are my favourites.
Have a great Sunday
Hi Sylvia, Have some problems posting a comment here. Don't see my earlier comment so will give it another go.
Your first shot looks like the pictures I posted this week. That rose is wonderful and always like the way you capture your coloured glass collection!
Enjoy your Sunday and have a good week!
The last two shadows are so beautiful with the colors in them. Great shots!
Thank you for the very nice offerings this week. I especially like the rose bud, and the red of the glass, fractured as it is, is beautiful.
Peace.
Flowers everywhere - isn't it grand? Lovely shadows, Sylvia - here's wishing you bright sunshine for the week ahead :-)
Beautiful shots as usual! I like the hanging basket shadow, it's wonderful!
Thanks for the visit & good wishes, I hope your weekend is wonderful, also!
Beautiful flowers Sylvia but my fav has to be the red glass on the lace I love the way the colour makes the lace look great shots again!!
I love the rosebud -- it looks GIGANTIC in that shot!
Beautiful!
