That's My World!

That's My World is hosted each week by Klaus and the My World team, Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and me. Click on the icon and share your world with others from all over Our World! So! How is your world this week? Have you taken time to see the beauty there? What is it about your world that makes you smile or laugh or feel grateful for? You can click on the photos to embiggen and get a better look!

It's hard to believe that fall is on our doorstep already! Where did the summer go??? We've had such a very mild summer here in Seattle and we had a very mild winter last year, so I'm curious to see what we'll have this year. But whatever, there's no doubt there will always be beauty to photograph -- sometimes we just have to look a little bit harder. I didn't have to look harder this week however! Enjoy your week in your world!

Autumn might be on your doorstep, but it's still waaaay down the block from mine. But that shouldn't surprise anyone. Not around here anyway.

Beautiful sequence of shots. The one with the sailboats makes me wish I was sailing there right now. I am ready for fall. I can hardly wait for October and November which is fall here.

Fabulous collection of shots, very scenic. The colors of the sky are pleasing.

Some beautiful pics for sure, but I'm in denial - let there be summer...and until I see the leaves changing, I'm not ready to accept the change of season is close.

Beautiful colors of the sky. It's great world we live in.

Your photos inspire serenity, Sylvia. Autumn is my favorite time of year. I love the colours, the quieter beaches and the cloud-filled skies where orange sunsets peek through.

That first photo is stunning, I hope that is not the last rose of summer. Autumn is good but cold winter follows.

Enjoy your week.

Your world is filled with beauty. What a view!
the perfect white rose reminds me of 'Beauty and the Beast' , do you remember the old B&W French version with Jean Marais? I saw it when I was about 19 and still am vividly under its spell.

Thank you for your friendship and your concern. Things are looking up a little.

Enjoy what is left of your summer with its pleasant temperatures.

Great photos as always, Sylvia. I especially love the first one, with the sun reflecting off the water and the sailboats to complete the scene.

It didn't feel like summer last week in my world but I agree that there's always beauty to be photographed whatever season it may be.

Fantastic photos & quotes as always. Joy certainly should be unconfined. :)

That white rose is particularly lovely. I do so love Mark Twain. I laughed when I read about not getting enough compliments. How funny!

You are really surrounded by a beautiful world ! Our summer was very short this year. Almost no spring then a heat wave and the whole August was cold and rainy ! It's a miracle that I don't have flippers yet !
I better don't think about autumn, I hate it !

I was so sure I had commented on your Tuesday blog, because I remember thinking wise things about Mark Twain. But I was wrong, which happens to me a lot lately.
Loved your photos, and the Twain quotes. My favorite of his, though: "When I was younger, I could remember anything, whether it happened or not."
