MicroFiction Monday

Susan at Stony River
Farm hosts Microfiction Monday. She posts a picture and you compose a story in 140 characters. You can click on the icon to get further instructions. To help you along she has posted a wonderful link that counts your characters for you! How great is that! You can get the counter at Design 215.

This meme is easy and it's fun! Thanks, Susan for hosting.

And here's the picture for the day!

What did she tell me? Ride the waves? I think she got it backwards!
These waves are going to ride me. And where's the life preserver? Uh oh!

Sounds as if this Poor Soul is caught up in a Hurricane. I guess one shouldn't believe all they hear. Nice one Sylvia, mine is up and posted.

I hope his life was preserved! Most of these poor fellas aren't faring too well!

He should've gone to the more expensive, but more reliable boat rental company. They give better and more thorough advice for the extra bucks.

Now this feels right.
Back here at your place commenting on your MF.
You still amaze me at how good you are at this.
Have a wonderful holiday tomorrow.

I have a terrible feeling that even a life-jacket wouldn't help him much in this situation--guess the old saying is true--"You get what you pay for." Have a great week. Cheers!

Uh oh! Yes, Sylvia, it is time to say that, huh? You did good! :)
..
You got me to thinking, have you read any that wrote a peaceful scene? Pretty much panic in the picture I am afraid.

Like how you turned riding the waves into the waves doing the riding! Nifty little microfiction!

You sound like you have boating experience, Sylvia. I enjoyed this. :)

She should have told him to stay out of the water. He needs a better advice giver. But it made a wonderful story.

Bravo! Sounds like the conditions along the East Coast beaches in the wake of Hurrican Earl...

Not sure I'd take anyone's advice while at sea: I tend towards seasickness.

Great MM, Sylvia--have a great week.

I hate it when I forget to pack the life preserver, also known as personal flotation device.

I think he's going to be needing all the help he can get.

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
