Shadow Shot Sunday!

Get out the magnifying glass, get into your best sleuthing clothes and start prowling your environment looking for those wonderful, but sometimes elusive shadows. This fun and challenging meme is hosted each week by Tracy over at Hey Harriet! Click on the icon, sign up and show us how clever you are!

I did miss you guys last weekend! Thanks so much to those of you who found my post in spite of my not being able to sign in as I didn't have access to a computer or the internet. But I did have fun with my camera! My friend has such an incredible home and such a fantastic view and she helped me get some wonderful shots of Seattle from places I had never been! There wasn't a lot of sunshine, but I managed to find a few shadowy captures once I got home.

Inspired by one of your shadowy images, Sylvia:

The Shadow Chair

I think that I shall sit
Upon the shadow chair
Although I know that it
Isn’t really there.

Darkness cannot hold me,
So I shall seek the light.
Strong arms will enfold me
And bid me a good night.

I lament, as we are deep in the midst of gentle, Autumnal rains, you're sunny shadow casts are a welcome sight as always!

Have a great weekend!

The table is bathed in sunlight with subtle shadowy upgrades like the red glass and planter. The parade of turtles is unique - it would have to be easier to swim, but where's the challenge in that - plodding across the log is harder but more satisfying (in my opinion only:>)

Seattle sounds like it was fun. I always hear good things about that city.

Wishing you another good weekend.

The Queen of Colored Glass Shadows does it again. Love these. Also the chair shadow on the tiled floor--very nice. Have a great weekend!

Your collage is lovely as usual, Sylvia. Thank you.
I agree with Ralph. It would have been easier for the turtles to swim, but where's the fun in that?
Yes, Seattle is fun, isn't it? My nephew and his wife both posted shots of themselves and their boys at Safeco field on Facebook this week. They had a great time, even the ones who were more interested in food than baseball. Something for everyone at Safeco Field. Dick and I will be there next summer to see our Jays play.

Hey SK, I was in Seattle last Sat. night myself. Tried to get some GReaT shadows on my "kid's" window shades, but they wouldn't cooperate. Phooey. Your ShadowShots never disappoint though. The collage is terrific!

WOW what a fantastic collage! That coloured glass shadow is fabulous. Burn a candle in it and see it shine! That table looks so inviting to sit at and enjoy a cuppa!

Your glass shadows are always a delight and the chair back resting on the tiles an invitation, the Christmas cactus so defined against the white table and the soft dreaminess of the watery whisps, all wonderful shots dear Sylvia.

So glad you had such a good time with your friend and hope you have other pleasures in store this week.

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
