Weekend Reflections

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James each week beginning Friday at 11 AM. It's another wonderful way of opening your eyes to new and different kinds of beauty.

It is gray, grim, windy, rainy here in Seattle! So, I had to prowl through the photos for an entry for today.

Good friends of mine in Portland took this at the Wooden Ship Festival and I love it!

Sun on the water, always a favorite!

Always love the colored patterns!

I love green, too! I found these in our basement!

«Louis» would have liked to have seen the wooden ship festival in Portland.

He really likes the light refracting through the blue glass in the image in the center of your series.

Mmm, I like the blue glass - it seems to be sitting in its own little sea.

Although I really like that tall ship, your colored glass shadows and reflections are beautiful. They are very artistic.

Very nice reflections, Sylvia. Thanks for visiting my blog. I am in Seattle today for a conference and have refrained from photographing some of YOUR reflections. No poaching!

The last one is my favourite : I find this green really interesting, and the shadow of the object give a very unique touch to the composition.

Wonderful photos, Sylvia. Of course I love the wooden ship, it is so beautiful, but the sun on the water is glorious, too. However, I have to admire the pattern in the blue glass and your fabulous arrangement of the green glass to get the shadow in the reflection.

Years ago in Norfolk, VA there was a parade of tall ships from all over the world. It was fantastic. Your friend's photo looks like a painting.
I know I say it every time you post them but your colored glass reflections just lift my spirits every time. Thank you!
Have a wonderful weekend and here's hoping you have some sunshine!

It has been icky, rainy and gray here, too, but yesterday there was a little sun and I used it to play with my new macro lenses. Now, after looking at your photos, I am thinking I should run to my fave second hand store and buy that collection of colored bottles I saw there last week! Great shots.
